I‘m still struggling hard with extending (mostly on the downswing). My finish looks like Walter Hagen’s (if you’ve ever seen his swing) who Bobby Jones once supposedly said “He swings like a wounded duck.” My biggest issue is when I do manage to extend on the downswing my head ends up about a foot in front where the ball position was. I keep going back to this, but I feel like I’m missing something. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=1aWTy3qjB_I

@Nocona Colt Abernathy My swing is still very much a work in progress but the distinction you draw between presetting the hips forward and "leaning forward" is a good one. I just did my first V1 analysis with Tom. I thought I had been keeping my weight forward but, as he observed, it was really just my shoulders. He didn't use the word but I was definitely leaning. He told me to work on getting my hips and knees "up against the wall", not just my shoulders. Plan to work on it a bit this evening.
@Buford T Ogletree - Try watching the videos below. I know it's not Tom's video, but Rob Cheney is a certified S&T instructor and teaches the same swing as Tom. These videos helped me understand the impact position, which is where your real issue lies. The finish is just a result of something done earlier in the swing.
