What are you planning this winter?
My plan:
Over speed training - goal 10mph club head speed pickup.
Simulator/LM training - 150yards and in. Get deadly with scoring irons.
Putting, putting, putting - just got a new training aid and looking forward to writing about it.
That's it. Get faster. Get accurate.
Looks like a great plan and very attainable. I did overspeed training and went from 94 mph to 108 mph normal swing. Training baseline went from starting 94 to 118 peak after a month. Currently my normal swing hovers 103 to 108 mph which feels to me is a 80 percent effort swing. Its nice knowing your capable of a higher gear if needed.
@Russell Hogue, PhD Iām working on my short game. Chipping, Pitching and putting. I have a net at my house to work on my swing.
Crispy contact drills. I can't do full swings at full speed in my garage, but I can do the half swings with 7i or above, and that's all I really need right now. So I'll spend most of the time on 2.8 and related stuff, and then also probably play with the indoor training. My ambitious mind hopes I can get to the chipping/pitching lessons, too, but I don't want to get ahead of myself again š
I am going to work on strengthening my core. Feel like it's costing me yards.
Just got a 2 (18 degree) driving iron and want to find a real fairway finder shot.
Speed training intrigues me. Do you have a training aid you are using?
I'll go ahead and pin this to draw more attention to it, Russell.
You're going to be a beast coming out of the gates at the start of next season!!
