I checked out the slices and pulls videos, but they seen to concentrate on slices. I tend to PULL my short irons to the left on pitch shots to the green and my distance control is not consistent . Please advise.
@Michael John Pappas - The reason that section is called "Slices (and Pulls)"is because these two different undesirable shot shapes oftentimes have the same root cause; the only difference is where the clubface is pointed relative to the path at impact. For a right handed player, both the slice and the pull will start to the left side of the target line, From there the ball will either continue in that direction (straight pull), curve left (pull-hook), or curve right (pull-slice). In all cases the cause is typically a result of swinging across the ball from out to in.
@Michael John PappasA pull just means swing path is going left and the face is square to the path (also left). That’s no bueno. I would say you have to fix the swing path to make it in-to-out. Try placing a head cover just outside of your ball and slightly slightly behind. If your swing path is left then you will probably hit the head cover. Don’t hit the head cover and pull will be fixed. One other comment, look at the grid. In a round, if you are seeing the ball going left, you can cheat by moving the ball back in your stance. That will promote a more in to out path.Think of it like this, if you are swinging a baseball bat, the bat is working from in-to-out on the back half of the swing arc. Once you reach full extension, the bat starts to work left. Same is true in a golf swing. Once you get past full extension the club starts working left. Not knowing your swing, ball position could be promoting the out to in path.Btw - this is the same fix for most shanks too. :)
My guess is that you are over the top in your swing which also causes the longer clubs to get steep…and knifey/fat. Try the head cover drill and let us know how it works out.

@jeremy perkins - Have a look at the Slices (and pulls) section of Ball Flight Fixes. Let's see if that helps!
