Things were making progress last year, then due to Winter in the Uk, going on tour and then Covid, I hadn’t swung a club until this week.
First shots felt and looked Ok, until I watched the video evidence. My old swing was there, as OTT, choppy and cutty as ever. I’ve hit 50 balls every day this week and am posting Tuesday and Yesterday, to see if people think I am heading in the right direction. I am largely working on Tom’s OTT drills, but yesterday I put an alignment stick on my foot line behind me and was working on dropping the club to be on that line on the way down before turning through.
One thought I had last night was that I may not have enough/any forearm rotation on my backswing. Would this be the cause of my getting the club too upright on way back?
Anyway, help is much appreciated. I’ll post Tuesday’s horrid swing first.
Tom, I’ll send you a V1 this weekend.
Many thanks, am reading up on the best angles for recording the swing as I realise these aren’t optimal. Will try out Slow Mo tomorrow. Again, all good points. I’ve never managed to not stall my hips so this is something I must, and will sort out this year. Also, I do find it hard to get target oriented at the range, and the ball is probably close to 100 % of my focus/intent. Many thanks, again. Adam
