So swinging lefty and having a right dominant hand has been an issue for me. I’ve never been able to feel the “backwards karate chop” or punching through the ball with my trail arm. So finally yesterday I thought “Don’t feel like My lead wrist is hinging. Instead feel like my trail wrist is extending (cupping).” I basically had to take all the tension out of my lead hand. Not loosen the grip per se, but more like relaxing without loosening the grip. BOOM! It worked. Now I can feel the backhanded karate chop, and here’s the bonus: I have NEVER had lag..... EVER (I was a functional flipper). But now look. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. It was actually too much. On this shot I ended up hitting it thin and slicy. So if you’re dominant arm is your lead arm, this really helped me. I don’t wanna mess anyone’s swing up so Tom, if there’s any caveats about this please by all means put it out there. 😊
